    GR3770 jamming every few prints

I was having a bit of trouble yesterday printing on 80lb cover, it would jam every 20 - 30 prints, but then I flicked that switch by the paper feed to 'cardstock' and got through the run just fine.

Today I'm running 20lb copier paper through and it's jamming every 2 or 3 prints. What happens is the last sheet that causes the jam, seems to be feeding in too soon or too late? the print appears on that sheet like a half inch or so lower (away from the leading edge) and it ends up printing off the page... so a bit of ink is getting onto the pressure roller... what's the problem here? I should clean the pressure roller right, but what else can I do. I started getting jams before I got any ink on that roller...

    thanks!

So I got through the run alright... for some reason I'm just having trouble feeding the light stuff through, like 20lb bond paper. Anything heavier seems to go through just fine.

Under the feed roller you will notice two green wheels; these are adjustment knobs for fine-tuning the feed system to your paper-use a coin to turn one way or another. Make a note of where each is before adjusting, so you can bring the settings back to a beginning point. This, along with the card-stock lever, will help you run a wide range of stock.

i personally would never touch the left hand green dial. i always left it pointed at 9 o'clock. the right one would be pointed at about 1-2 o'clock for regular paper. it sounds by your description that your machine is trying to feed in two sheets before it jams. the second sheet although gets stopped is already in your machine a little when it goes to feed it. thus throwing your image "down" down on the page. try to run and if you get a jam turn the right hand dial a little clockwise, then repeat until the paper feeds. if you get to the max clockwise dirrect on the right hand dial and you still can not feed you may need a new stirpper sheet/pad (this is the piece of rubber underneath the feed tire furthest in the machine)
