[Dead] Riso GR3770 Locked Up! Please HELP!! :~)

I've been running a 3770 for several years, and a 'First' happened- My GR3770 locked up in the middle of a job while running fine & Code T6 -Call Service appeared. After hitting harder than ever Times a few years ago & forced to file bankruptcy in order to prevent foreclosure; the Only Authorized Riso service center in this area, Curry Printing Systems, who promised to take care of me and Gladly pocketed Thousands of my dollars during the 'good Times'; now Refuses to service the machine they sold me or return my calls for help. They even refuse to accept Cash in Advance! So I purchased a service and tech manual on Ebay years ago, and thankfully have been able to work through all of the minor problems and numerous 'timing' issues since, and saving a ton of money from Curry's tills.

However, my 3770 has Never just Locked-up like it has now; and my small struggling shop is currently 'Dead in the Water', with several small jobs waiting to get done. Again, Curry refused to give Service.

Can anyone or Everyone give advice as to how I can get my Riso UNlocked and back to work?? I finally figured out releasing the pressure lever to be able to pull out the Ink Drum; but haven't figured out how to get everything else Unlocked and returned to I suppose, default setting. I've tried holding down the 'All Reset' button when powering On, but hasn't helped this time.

Advice is greatly appreciated, and hope to wake up to your solution! Thanks!

First the good news: search the forum and you will probably find an answer to your problem, especially if there has been any events in your local area that have disturbed the power coming from the outlet the machine is plugged into.
Now the bad news: if that error code is based on an actual physical defect that your service manual tells you, that machine is done, toast, stick a fork into it, official parts for the GR line have not been available to authorized Riso dealers for quite some time.
On the other hand, maybe you can find a used machine that has a good unit that your service manual describes for that error code. The repair procedure in the manual is pretty straightforward and should be the essence of simplicity then.

      Thanks for the post!
Searched forum and googled, but so far not found anyone with exact same problem. No problem with outlet, as other things were hooked up to it, with no problems.

However, 'T6 Error' refers to a 'Pressure' Issue, and other posts have mentioned this code, but seemed to happen when they first Powered 'ON' their machine. I purchased a new Pressure Roller to install, but machine froze up while printing, after about 300 sheets into a 2,600 run. So when pressed 'ALL RESET' and powered back ON, gears, etc. are still frozen in the middle of the rotation cycle. Was hoping an experienced Riso Tech would let me know if I need to remove the drive belt, etc. and rotate the gears to original starting position, as if it had jumped timing; or advise exactly what I need to do after installing new pressure feed roller. Gonna try the normal fix as if it Jumped Timing, due to suddenly for No apparant reason, pulling 50-100 sheets through & freezing the drum. Something it seems Riso programmed the machine as a ritual, to happen every few months, certain # prints, etc.; just to keep their 'Authorized' Service Techs busy making service calls And money performing an extremely simple 10-15 minute adjustment. I made sure I offered to hold the flashlight for them, ask enough questions and after spending a few hundred dollars; learned how to do That Myself the last few years. :~) Great Advice by the way!

However, This time, it locked up without suddenly pulling a wad of sheets through at the same time! Even after several years since having to file bankruptcy, the Only and 'Atthorized RISO Service Company in This 'Protected Territory'(Curry Printing Systems in Waco, Texas;(254)752-3554); STILL refuses me Service, return my calls, or go a half-mile or so out of their way when regularly servicing other accounts, even to accept CASH! To service the untold and unknown to Me at the time, 'Obsolete' Riso THEY Sold me, and stated before the Sale, they would "take Care of" me and the Riso if(rather When) I had problems. Talk about Kicking a Guy When He's Down!

Anyway, Life goes on; just not sure my Riso will! :~) However, I have a couple of 'Back-up' 3770's I bought a few years ago I can take parts from if needed; just need to know Exactly what's wrong and how to correct it. Simply, a return call or a quick Cash Service Call from RISO's 'Authorized' Service Co. in my area.

Any help or advice(even Legal) will be Greatly appreciated. Thanks Y'all, for at Least allowing me to Vent! :~)

Sorry, you claim to have a service manual, it really isn't that hard if that really is the case. Good luck.

          you could try this
power on with l/p & m/p buttons pressed down to go into service mode. then switch off and turn on again
