Brother MFC 8480dn ADF print quality problem

While using the ADF , the machine will sometimes make an odd noise and then output either blank or all black pages , only very intermittently . Ran the feeder in 08 mode , no noise , paper fed through fine . Did the 55 white adjust as it seemed to pertain to this issue . Ran a bunch of copies with feeder , problem never occurred for me . ADF has new feed , pu and sep pad set . Scanner seems to be homing fine when I watch it with top cheated .. Has new FW as well .

are you sure the blank page wasn't a misfeed?
