Brother personal Fax 190 black lines

this is a small thermo fax machine, was working fine,customer complain a black line on the copies or on the send faxes. I just cleaned the document scanner glass,then the test copy is all the black vertical lines on both verticall eadge of the copies. I have no idea what is this caused???

Most likely a bad Contact Image Sensor (CIS)!
