    MFC-L3750

client put in new aftermarket toners & manually reset toner counts - machine is not recognising one (or more) of the toners at all, but it doesn't say which one! just displays "no toner"

client replaced all the colors with genuine (not K) so i advised them to get a genuine K

how the heck are you supposed to know which toner is 'missing'?

Is it networked? Maybe there's more useful information on the web interface. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yes you should see a "!" for the affected color via webinterface while the display itself isn't much helpful...

Using Maintenance Mode function code 82 can help determine which color is giving the issue.
