    HL-EX415DW Double Sheet Feed

This one has run fine all year until September.
It does not declare a misfeed, but instead spread the image across the two pages it has pulled.
Usually 3~4 inches on the top page, and the rest of the image on the second page.
The media is not the cause as the 40 other machines in the office uses the same paper and they have a steady rotation of suppliers, and it occurred on yellow, pink, and white paper.

The immediate action has been to replace both feed kits.
This has been done twice in 55k prints on the machine.
However, I understand the expected yield of the feed kit is 200,000.
If it is simply the separation skid pad, then I will need a whole lot of them for this one user.

    As a side note.
The second tray had to be replaced as it was not maintaining stack height.
Given new parts, it works fine for a while.
It is just way too soon, and only that one of the fleet of printers we have plugging away every day.

Hello, well i would think two things. either the pad is not working properly or the paper feed clutch foam is sticky and the feed solenoid lets the paper pick up and feed roller keep turning. i have had bad luck with china aftermarket pads.
you said the problem is fixed for a short period after a new roller kit. if so, that may rule out the feed solenoid. you can either print say 10 prints, and go behind the machine with a flashlight and carefully watch the feed rollers. if they pause after the paper feeds in, and don't turn again until the trail edge has left the paper tray, the solenoid would appear to not be sticking.
you could also remove the side cover and either watch the solenoid on a long run, or just push up on the solenoid actuator and see if it returns quickly when released ort not.

    best of luck.

Thank you for your insight and input on this machine.
The thing that had me going was it would happen pulling from either tray.
Abnormal movement of a solenoid is a very plausible reason why only this particular one would be having this issue.
