    brother MFC-9130 image quality problem.

I am familiar with Brother but haven't seen one in a while. This was originally brought in for jamming. Easily got past that. It was left with very poor image quality. At first black would only print as cyan and there were no colors. After a good cleaning, black printed as black, but colors would progressively go lighter to nothing in five prints. There are only 2257 pages printed. The status sheet states all the supplies are basically full. Also waste box is empty, but the machine says it's almost full. Something seems fishy. I'm not sure which parts I need to order and why is this happening so soon. The attachments are a couple from a set. If you run enough, they will end up blank. Thanks for looking. brother sample.pdf

Do you have 77 sheet printed in maintenance mode?
Can you measure/feel if there's toner left in cartridges?

The sheet states the toner is all at around 60%. The drums are at 85%. The toners feel like they have weight to them. The black drum says it was replaced in May '24. Colors, Oct. '18. When I copy in color, the first page is far from perfect, but it's dark. It will fade to nothing in five pages. Out of curiosity I wonder about the waste box. I gather already it has to be replaced to reset the message. This one is empty. I don't see a chip on it that would record data. I found some contacts I thought would reset it if they were touching but apparently not.

I suspect it could be the transfer belt if anyone can confirm they have seen one do something similar.

I would isolate the problem by printing patterns for each individual color
