Rarely some Brother machines smell horrible

We had already one (we've returned it to the seller) and now another customer complaines
about a new L6300 which smells horrible. Guess it has
something to do with the fuser.
Does someone know this problem with some Brother machines.

most new laser copiers, no matter the brand, are gonna have somewhat of a burnt smell coming from the fuser. this is due to the fact that the fuser heats up so much during the copy process.

Yepp we have it with this series not a common but still concerning the customers and it is quite annoying in small spaces. It looks like the factory overlube heating element and we have to change a few fusers because of that.
      Warranty should cover them.

Brother had us check out one of these machines that the customer had bought at a big box store and it really had a bad smell. It was in a confined area. We reported back to Brother and I don't know the final outcome for the customer.
