    Brother 2820 feed issues

    Hello,
My 2820, seems to be overdriving paper. it will feed the first sheet just fine but it will feed the next sheet past the sep pad, even if I run just one sheet! if I select multiple copies it will feed the first one then it will say "no feed" then pull out cassette then it will feed the second sheet. it does not multi-feed but it just feeds the next sheet past the sep pad. I checked the size of the paper in the user menu, OK, cleaned the seperation pad and feed roller. I'm wondering if it could be the feed clutch or a sensor that might be slightly hanging up, I did clean sensors in the path but still same problem.
    Thanks

check the solenoid in the drive section of the machine whether it is working properly or not. Sometimes the solenoid sticks on its pad when triggered that causes double feeding especially in multiple copying. Put small tape on that pad so that the solenoid will not stick into it.

Thanks for the responce, Yeah I fixed that problem a week ago and yes it was the solenoid, I just removed the pad and cleaned the surface with alcohol, doesn't really need the pad just a noise dampner. thanks again
