drum re set for brother 5240

recently installed new drum unit, the drum light is still blinking change drum unit, i was thinking these units were auto reset? if not what is the reset proceedure?it is a brother hl5240

Open toner door, hold down go button / 4 sec / until all lights are on, release go, close door..... 1c

You should also reset bias, if you didn't change toner cartridge with that drum unit.

1. Open front cover
2. Take out drum unit
3. Pres GO button
4. Put drum back into the printer
5. Press GO button
6. Close front cover

If the reset doesn't fix the problem maybe the new drum is the problem.

This usually happens if you have change it with a generic drum and not OEM drum.
