MFC-9840cdw producing heavy grey/black background

Hi,

We have an MFC-9840cdw that is producing (internal prints and all others) heavy backgrounding. We have swapped the following parts to no avail:

All supplies, as well as all boards except the formatter board as we didn't have one available.

Any ideas?
