I received a call on a Brother MFC-7840n and the customer told me that after 5 prints the replace toner cartridge indicator comes on. They replaced the toner cartridge with a new, full cartridge but have the same issue. I was wondering what could be causing this problem or if anyone has seen such problem before and knows how to rectify it. Any help appreciated, thank you.

Re: Brother MFC-7840n
... or another empty cartridge? I just got a re-call for exactly that.
This was on a Konica Minolta MFP. On the first call I found four transfer belt units sitting on the floor. The customer tells me he installed three used transfer units, and the the maintenance message won't clear. Maybe we could install the new transfer unit still in the box? Hey! The message clears! I also identify a near-empty black toner cartridge and a scratched fuser roller. Do you want me to order and install the fuser? No. The customer will take care of it. How about the black toner cartridge? No. They'll take care of it.
The call back reads "Replaced the fuser, and same problem." I call the customer. What same problem? "You know. The same problem." Fuser is installed correctly. Now near blank black prints, and an empty toner cartridge in the machine. Did you change the black toner cartridge? "Yes. I put in another used one." How about one of those new ones in the box, with toner in it? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
