Just picked up new customer, complaining about blurred copies. Brother replaced first one with same issue and this one is out of warranty. Anyone see this problem. New to brother....thanks, Kurt

Re: Brother MFC 8710 blurred copies
The fuser sleeve is not turning at the speed of the machine. You can remove the fuser assy, disassemble and remove the fuser sleeve, clean the heater element and lube. Lube the inner race of the sleeve and replace. I have just done this on two 8710 with 27K. Both work properly now. -
Re: Brother MFC 8710 blurred copies
Is the image blurred on both copy from the glass and print jobs from the computer? If it is happening from both, most likely the fuser is the problem. Do what copygal said, lube the sleeve or replace the fuser. This batch of Brother fusers must have been built by the same HP fuser rebuilders for a distributer selling HP parts. HahaComment

based on the thread above.
1. You need to check the drum, its only good up to 30,000 copies.
2. Check the cartridge, You need to clean the blade both up and down.
3. Clean the Laser unit. Disassemble the printer, need to remove the ADF and Platen. remove the cover there you will find the LSU or laser unit. Open it up and clean the polygon and other reflective glass.
