Machine makes slight squealing noise running letter plain from tray 2 and MP tray. Customer runs envelopes thru MP tray and noise is much worse. Have changed fuser, toner cartridge, cleaned and lubedd registration assy, and lubed drive gears to no avail. Posting video to show sound.

Re: HP Laserjet 600 m601 noise
Sounds like a toner cartridge issue, when you print from tray 1 the noise is a higher pitch than tray 2. Since the paper travels through tray 1 at a slower rate the noise is louder and longer than tray 2. If you are using remanufactured toner cartridges this is definitely the cause of the noise. You can run a component test to eliminate components that are failing.Last edited by Printerdude; 10-14-2015, 07:58 AM.Comment

Re: HP Laserjet 600 m601 noise
That noise is an "electric noise". Had to do with that when a defective cartridge or bad contacts between cartridge and printer were bad, maybe hv board (not on this hp printer)... I watched your video and the noise is present just when the paper/envelope is printed. Sounds stupid , I know.Defects are simple, our mind is complicatedComment
