I printed the Print Quality Troubleshooting pages and all colors are evenly faint (no streaks or lines). I checked to make sure the printer was plugged into the wall and not a surge suppressor. I cleaned the interior, checked the high voltage contacts, and ran the Laser Glass cleaning procedure. I also ran a full calibration. None of this worked. Then I went into Preboot and cleaned the disk then updated the firmware to the latest 2305090_000473. Still didn't work.
The customer is using HP brand toners. The Transfer Kit is at 90% remaining and in good shape, so it's hard to imagine that it is defective. Should I try one or both of the High Voltage Power Supplies? It has an Imaging HV PCA and a Secondary Transfer HV PCA? Which would you try? Or both?
