    HP LJ pro MFP M521dn

ADF jams after last sheet every time. Rollers turn trying to feed another sheet when there is none. Message says something about "mispick". Have to turn machine off and on to reset.

I cleaned adf rollers and checked paper sensor movement in adf. My experience with this type of jam on other copiers, etc would be the sensor actuator getting hung up or broke making the machine think there is another sheet on adf tray.

    Any help appreciated

    Thanks in advance

The ADF units on these newer machines are a constant headache. I've gotten to the point where I just tell customers the whole ADF unit needs to be replaced every time there is a problem.

Before you throw it out, look for (or blow out) dust from doc present (entry) sensor. If it's full of dust will act as if actuated at all times. Does it have a light that lights up? Not real familiar w/ that model. 4345mfp has an LED that shows when docs are inserted.

I've had jamming problems with this adf as well. Cleaned all the sensors but the machine will show there is a paper jam. Customer lifts up the lid and it will reset. Everything looks good. I also told them that the Complete ADF had to be replaced

Thanks for the replies. From what I read the only parts available are the feed rollers & sep pad otherwise only option is to replace the complete ADF. I saw them on HP.com for $160.

Oh well another HP "throw away"........
