[Jamming] Color Laserjet 4700 13.06.00 jam

    13.06.00 paper stopped jam

I've replaced the fuser. The paper come out about an inch, and then the machine throws the jam error.

When this first started happening, I actually saw it jam, and this wasn't a case where the fuser film was getting stuck. The paper had just entered into the fuser unit and then it stopped. It actually seems like it should have been throwing a paper late jam instead a paper stopped jam. It looked like the flag was sticking and bending, and the printer wasn't registering the paper edge. So I replaced the fuser, and things got better, but they called and said it's still doing it once in a while (attaching a event log). I replaced the fuser on 3/9.

Is there something I'm missing here?

Maybe I fixed the original problem, but since I'm using a refurb fuser, now the fuser is just getting stuck?

Does this happen on single sided prints or just on duplex prints? I once had a 4700 that only jammed on duplex prints. It turned out that a piece of the duplexer (with a small white plastic roller) had come off and was lost. So duplex prints would jam because they were slow to reach the fuser.

Happens with one and two sided. New, OEM transfer belt.

We had one of those in the shop last month with a similar problem. I wasn't the one who did the work so I don't know the finer details.
He also replaced the fuser with a rebuilt one. The jamming got better but was still happening about 10-20 prints in, just as one paper was coming up to the fuser. He ordered a new fuser and that fixed the problem. From my outside perspective, seems like those fusers get finicky after one life cycle.
