HP Designjet 815mfp - Camera Darkness Differences

I have an HP Designjet 815mfp I have been working with for a while on trying to get working. I have run through the entire Camera Adjustment procedure, which has completed successfully (yes, I have all three calibration sheets/parts).

The issue I have is that the WIDEsystem software cannot complete a vertical/horizontal alignment. If I complete a scan, which it will allow, I find the two cameras to be noticeably different in terms of darkness, one being lighter than the other. I can clearly see the contrast line between where the two cameras overlap.

Has anyone had any experience working with this problem and how to fix it?

There is an o-ring they used as a belt on one of the cameras to adjust it with a motor. Is the o-ring broken or missing? You can get them at a hardware store. I don't remember the size but I can measure one if needed.

If that's not the problem, make sure the stitching wire is in tact above the lamp in the center.

Check in WIDESystem how many hours are on the lamp. If it's over 18K I would replace it.

Have you attempted to adjust the cameras in any way? That can be an arduous process.. but you could swap the CCD boards between the cameras and see if the problem follows the camera, if none of the above are the issue.
