    LaserJet P3015 phantom 13.20 error

    I've got this P3015 that's throwing a 13.20 error at bootup. Tried a new fuser. No change. Tore apart the right side and checked the pickup gear, clip & solenoid. Everything was okay there. Thoroughly examined the printer for any scraps of paper. None found.

    Any suggestions or ideas? I'm at a loss.

      Huh........

      I usually suspect remaned toner carts when warranted. This one didn't. They are using remaned carts. Will have to check that out.

      Yeah, I know about those flags. Didn't check them because they are a pain to get to. Already had over two hours into this thing and needed to get to a plotter call.

        I have never seen a Toner cartridge cause a 13.20 error. Agree that one of the flags has a scrap of paper or something keeping the sensor made.

          It was the POS remanufactured toner cartridge. This is a first that I've seen a toner cartridge throwing an error relating to the fuser exit sensor. I inspected both a working and this non-working toner cartridge to see if I could find any differences. Couldn't find anything glaring at me. They both looked exactly the same. The only thing I can think is the non-working cart was engaging the sensor on the right side just in front of the registration assembly somehow.

          Thanks for the suggestions. They are paying for all the time I spent troubleshooting this one!

            This just happened to me. It would report a 13.20 or a 13.02 jam error. I found this thread on the subject and replaced their reman. toner. Fixed it!
