    [Error Code] HP Officejet Pro x576 event code 74899

    2 questions

    1 - Where can I find a list of the event codes?

    2 - What does this code mean? I went on HP site and found another machine with this code and they were saying ink level warning message set wrong.

    Ink levels are above 75% for all colors.

      Don't see that exact code listed in the troubleshooting manual. The only 7 series code is:

      C7140024

      Is that the EXACT code (74899) that you're seeing on the panel?

          That code is on the printed error report

              Okay. I thought maybe that's where it was from. There's no listing of those codes in the manuals. Sorry.

              We have an account that had two of these. One is still working fine. The other one though got destroyed because of 3rd party ink that was being used. It would have cost 3/4 of the cost of a new unit to replace the printbar.
