    Designjet Z2100

Does anyone know if the formatters/HD on these can be swapped between machines without messing anything up. I have a friend with a malfunctioning one (8:11) and I believe it's the formatter. But heck, maybe it's the HD and not the formatter. Either way, can I take parts off my Z2100 in the shop and swap them? What about the main board on these?

No, you can not swap drives, but you can swap formatters if you also swap the drives (keep the original drive with the original printer.)

      LPS Computer sells the drives.

What do the LEDs on the formatter tell you? If LED II is flashing it's likely the hard drive. If not then you may have a different problem.

Erf. Disregard what I said about the LEDs on the formatter. I was thinking of a different model.
