    Hp color laserjet m452dn periodically faint prints

    Hi
    The prints are perfect 7-8 times out of every 10 printed pages,but on the other 2-3 prints you can see image is perfect,but EXTREMELY
    FAINT,as though transfer barely took place.I replaced the fuser unit on machine about 2 months ago,but this problem with faint periodic prints just started
    2 days ago.Is it possible I could have done something to cause this,or has anyone had this problem on this model before?
    I REALLY appreciate any help offered.

      I had this but it was associated with pick-up jams. I thought it was a loss of transfer and maybe the belt was bad. But it turned out to be worn rollers mistiming the image process. They are very dinky rollers and cant make it more than 20k.

          Probably the next step would be either the transfer belt or the secondary transfer roller. I'd just replace them both. But it wouldn't hurt to try the rollers first. But get the OEM. These haven't been out long enough for after-market to quite get it right.

              Tell me about it! These are the same rollers that are used on the M252. Why did HP even bother??? These rollers are not much bigger than a normal sized jelly bean (not exaggerating). Replaced these rollers about a month ago. 3 weeks later, the customer was complaining that it wasn't picking up paper again. Ended up just swapping the printer.

                      Thanks for the imput.I will ask the customer tomorrow if he wants spend the money for a service caLL and
                      a Transfer belt kit. And in response to OMG, Yes machine is plugged directly into the wall.
