i think the issue was leaking toner. device operating properly after vacuum & cleaning.(looks like an after-market toner exploded inside) but my question is on the fuser pressure roller release.
i know some of the smaller devices have a pressure roller release arm attached to the top cover. the 4015 and later do not have this, is there an electronic signal to open the pressure cam on the fuser when there is a jam??? when i pulled the fuser out after a jam, without powering down, the pressure rollers were free. cam in the open position.
my first thought was a poorly rebuilt fuser, but i swapped it out with another device and it was fine.
just curious
