How the hell do you remove the little black cover above the disk sensor? I believe I've done it before, but I don't remember how I got it out. Do I just force it out or do I have to remove something?

Supposedly it just comes out, but I've always had to unscrew the 4 screws that hold the entire top of the printer down on that end so I can jack it up a inch or so. It's the two screws at the bottom of the 'arch' in front and in back.
If you're going to replace the encoder disk, I find it easier just to take the entire top half off the printer.
