The machine shows error 13.D3.FF. The manual points to the duplex sensor on the back of the secondary transfer.
At first I forced paper through the paper path on the right side and got a small quarter sized piece of paper to come out. Jam still will not clear. The actuator is in place and working. When I go into diagnostics and do sensor test, they all work properly. I rebooted, pulled and reseated formatter and hdd, upgraded firmware, all to no avail. Called the tech support for the contractor this is with and he was stumped. He had me call HP. I felt like he was just guessing when he told me to change the secondary transfer. I have the part, haven't changed it yet.
I remember getting tis call on the same model for the same false jam at a different location about a year ago. Used a different tech support and got the same results, being told to change the secondary transfer. However, my tech support told me that it was a bitch to change that unit, several hours, and no gaurantee that would fix it. That customer replaced the machine.
After I left the site, I thought that it would be more likely that the jam may be stuck in the dc controller. Has anyone had this as an issue before?
