Him being a salesman uses that line often.
We have another sales guy here, they both parrot that same line.
What they fail to realize is not everyone has the cash to be able to do that, hence the reason for repair techs.

Re: HP M477fdn intermittent 59.F0 code
If this was sticking, I doubt a firmware patch would fix it, but then when a five-minute software update fixes this, is it really worth going any further.Last edited by Tricky; 04-30-2022, 04:12 PM.Comment

Re: HP M477fdn intermittent 59.F0 code
There is a little microswitch in transfer belt. Voltage that goes through the switch is so low that if microswitch gets a lil dirty or is worn, it will trigger 59.f0 error.
The software update raises the voltage that goes through microswitch - most of time this helps.
You can also clean the switch, but i recommend software update.

The solenoid is sticking. Foam pad wears out leaving sticky glue. Solenoid is what engages the trans belt.Comment

Its a sticky solenoid that has a foam pad that turns sticky. Clean her up real nice with solvent and dont put any tape or pad on it. The solenoid is what engages the transfer belt.Comment
