that's if it's on the prints if they mean on the display ----then they're stuck in the start-up. usually they turned it off and back on again(could have had a power outage) either way you have to reinstall firmware could be hhd replacement then firmware update all depends how hard a hit it took. and like I said GOOD LUCK

If it is a circle with a line going through it on the control panel, the logo in the middle is of a person unplugging the power cord, meaning, DON'T unplug the power cord when this logo is on the control panel.

+1 on 1stcavvet second post about what the problem may be.

This was a red circle with line going through power cord looks like this goes away and machine goes ready.but occasionally paper tray 2 will say close tray. But it is closed.checked side tray sensors looks ok ...??? Anyone see this ?

HP RM1-8424-000 Paper Feed Shaft Assembly, Genuine (M9229)

Had one do this and it took me while to figure out. I found the tip of one of the sensor flags broke off so it wasn't being detected by the sensor.

The sensors where this assembly is located. There is a sensor board and the sensor flags are on this assembly. When the tray is inserted, or the tray is filled, the sensor flags on this assembly interact with the sensors on the sensor board above.

It's not noticeable until this assembly is removed.

Are we talking about paper out flag or paper tray flag?

The sensor flag tip that was broken for me was the Paper Sense flag in the picture.
