Hello, everyone! I am interested in how to reset a counter on HP Color Laserjet 4700 on fuser and transfer belt! There is information that it goes with a resistor, but I haven't tried whether it works. I would be very grateful if anyone knew and tried this method!!

I can do it on the ITB but not the fuser. Still looking for the method on the fuser

new parts will reset it ...

are you using USED or third party parts?

HI! I use USED parts. For the ITB there is resistor which can be changed, does not look difficult! I haven't tried with the fuser unit yet. The fuser unit must have resistor too. New parts are very expensive!

In this case I have parts to recycle the fuser unit, sleeve, gears... i just need to reset the counter!

Yes, the refurbished fuser is also done this way.

A resistor under the back cover resets the fuser assembly. I have seen this fuser run a few times, eventually the sleeve or pressure roller goes but you will get another run. As for the ITB, these things never fail on this model. So robust!! i wish HP had stuck with this belt instead of the CP range they brought in, nothing but problems.

It works!!! For the fuser and transfer belt, resistor 33 ohm!
