    HP P3015 tray 2

This HP P3015 jams every time from tray 2 the standard drawer. Rollers don't turn at all. Paper feeds from tray 1.

    Jam is 13.01.00

I can hear a thump when testing pickup solenoid for tray 2. Previous tech replaced solenoid and pickup roller.

    I'm interested in troubleshooting tips

Tray 2 pickup assembly is likely shot. RM1-6268 is the part number.

    Instructions for replacing:

Thanks. I took the ECU board out so I could test the Tray 2 pickup assembly manually. If I turn the drive system and actuate the pickup solenoid the unit feeds paper so I think it is okay.

Maybe the solenoid isn't pulling all the way even though I can hear a sound. It is brand new though.

This printer is displaying a "Used toner" message. Could the message be preventing the control board from turning on the tray 2 solenoid during printing?
I need to be able to watch the solenoid during a print cycle but I don't see a way.

The printer is now working, here's what happened:

I had the printer disassembled in order to inspect the feed system for drawer 2.

After finding no apparent mechanical problems I reassembled the printer and turned it on.

During initialization the printer displayed a 49.4C02 code and restarted on its own.

It took a fair amount of time to come to ready then everything started working again.

There were no pending print jobs and I had done firmware before taking the printer apart.

The original symptom was no rotation of drawer 2 pickup rollers with jam 13.01.00
