    print head

    Hi Guys

We have just intraded an HP T1200 42" plotter. Very nice condition however asking to replace print heads as out of date. Is there a way around this as a temporary measure as we need to test it to make sure it is in good working order before we invest in new heads.

    Thanks

The date is only regarding the warranty. The printer will continue to print with out-of-warranty supplies.

No, there is no way around the message. Replacing the printheads is the only way.

Go to the Image Diagnostics menu and print the Image Diagnostic Print.. that will show you the status of the printheads. It should look like the image. If any of the large color blocks are missing, that printhead needs replacement.
