[Misc] DJ 500 system crash

My first time here. Got a Dj 500 with possible formatter problem. Discovered bad netcard, went straight to computer. test pg-ok. Sent plot job, immediate crash of the os. This happend on a Windows 7 and 8. Any ideas? THX

You're saying Windows crashes when you try to print? In what way? BSoD or what?

There's been a problem with a recent Windows update that causes problems printing to Designjet printers (among others,) but I don't know if it applied to 7 or 8.

Yes on the BSoD. To my knowledge there aren't any auto updates to 7 anymore, not sure on 8, both are pro versions. The death screens were different on each.

That's very odd, especially if it's happening on multiple computers. What happens if you change the port to FILE: and try to print just to a file? Does it crash then?
