    Hi!
This could indicate that the printheads doesn't move freely or has too high reistance when moving, like if a paper edge strikes the printheads to stop. Try to check:
    - Clean troughly and lubricate (with thin oil) the (both) sliding rods if you haven't done it yet
    - The drive belt, is it OK?
    Good luck!

      I had the same problem...
All u have to doo is clean the rubber belt cristal clean and the metal stems there should be 2 of them of the printhead cariage... this should fix ur'e problem.
After cleaning Use cold Sythetich oil on the metal stems.

Your problem is most likely the encoder strip is dirty. use alcohol and a clean cloth to clean it. When you move the print carriage, pull on the belt, not the carriage. If you clean the strip, clean the rail also, and lube with rail oil.

First of all, check the good condition of the carriage belt. After that clean very well the encoder (as said) with alcohol. Clean with alcohol and lube with oil the two rails. Clean very well the scan axis gear and the pulley on the tensioner assembly.
