    HP M477/M452 fusers

Hey, does anyone know if you can use a duplex fuser on a simplex model for these machines? I have an account with a few of these simplex models, but the fuser prices are exorbitant. I found the duplex fusers cheaper, but I don't have one around to test and see if it would work. I know you can't use a simplex model to duplex, but maybe the duplex version would work on simplex.

    Hi Tom,

As far as I know you can use the duplex fuser. My refurb techs has done a couple of them and also done the opposite, converting simplex to duplex.

You can mail me for instructions at

    wsmanager@printersandpartsdirect.co.za

I will reply with instructions tomorrow morning. If you require other refurb fusers we can also assist

    Regards

    Marc

Thanks, Oombees, some instructions would be just what I need. I didn't know if a duplex needed to be modified or not. I figured it might just have some extra parts that wouldn't get used in a simplex but might still fit and work. If they need to be modified then I need to figure out what needs taking off.
