Designjet printing on Poly Tubing Roll

I am trying to print on a clear poly tubing roll. It's only 4" wide. I have a DesignJet 800 but not sure it will print on plastic PVC type material, especially clear.

Is there a different printer I should look at? Is there a simple easy way to do this?

You want to print on actual tubing? That would be impossible on a Designjet. They only print on flat media.

If you're talking about something like clear film, any clear media has to have a strip on either side that you peel off after, that the printer can 'see' so it can find the edges of the media. HP makes clear film for their Designjet printers. It dries slowly but does work.
