Hey all, can anyone give me a download link to the firmware update PREVIOUS to the one on HP's website? I seem to have misplaced my thumbdrive for this and apparently didn't have it saved on the computer. No problem, I'll just download the latest one, a newer one had come out. While doing it, I started looking around to refresh my memory on doing this, it's been awhile, and came across a thread saying the latest one (which is the only one available on HP's website) does nothing except keep the printer from using aftermarket toners. NOT AGAIN!! They did this back in November for the M281 printers, and any of them that were networked and had auto update turned on downloaded that crap and kept aftermarket toners from working. I have a bunch of M452's and M477's, so I went around and turned off update ability, so I caught that one before they changed it. I figured this was HP's way of screwing the people that had their office depot type machines, I had no idea they would try that with the heavy duty commercial printers. Lol, Not Today Satan. Fortunately I saw this before uploading into the printer, I don't know if you can downgrade this model. I couldn't find any info on it. Anyway, thanks in advance, and check your machines. HP's in an all out war to eliminate 3rd party toners, but if you know where to order you can find good ones that work and make a good profit. Can't make a dime on the OEM's.
