T930 has: Blank Screen, Blue LED "on" above rear switch, Formatter I LED "Flashing"

CORRECTION!!!! this is a Z6200 (NOT T930): Blank Screen (front panel status: off), Blue LED "on" above rear power switch, Formatter I LED "Flashing"

1st off, Kiran has suggested I first try replacing the main pca battery. (At that time I had only relayed these symptoms: 8 beeps, flashing front power button with white screen, and solid blue LED on the back power button.)

This has all the signs of a BAD Hard Drive per the service manual. I suppose it could be a bad cable connection. I am fairly certain it is a bad Hard Drive.

It is a few hundred miles away; it is NOT in front of me. I am wondering what other parts I should bring along "just in case" it is NOT a bad hard drive.

I am thinking I should maybe bring along a replacement front panel and formatter (kinda pricey; don't really want to but maybe I should), just in case.

    Thanks for any input.

I agree, probably the HD. Could be PSU.

The CMOS battery on the main PCA (motherboard) can also cause weird initialization issues.
