    HP MFP178 nw ERROR ,REPLACE NEW TRANSFER BEL

    Hello comrades i have this printer showing the above error but continues to print.
    The purpose of this note is to request on any skill of how to reset the error message,thanks.

    Replace the ITB

    HP RM2-5907-000CN Intermediate Transfer Belt (ITB) Assembly, Genuine (G4431)

    Search for the service manual if you don't have it. I didn't see anything about just resetting the message in the manual. There typically isn't.

      Thanks for the input actually the service manual has nothing to that effect.

        Did you replace the belt and this message appeared?
        I don't see a reset for these without replacing the belt. I don't recall if these have a flag that does the resetting like the m680's, m575's and CP3225's. These models you could move the flag to reset the message and belt life.

        A firmware upgrade may help.
