    Printing on letter size labels

I have a customer who prints on letter size labels. Have been using an HP 4250DN printer. Lately even with a new fuser we are getting incomplete fusing with white specks in the blacks. I have tried all the settings. Perhaps the new fuser is not up to par. However some generic cartridges do a better job than a New OEM 42A. Is there another printer out there that would do a good job on hundreds of letter size labels a month?

First off, are you sure the 8.5 x 11" labels your custoner is using are designed for laser printers and not inkjet printers?

Next I would want a print device with a flat paper path.

Lots of envelopes are still likely to eventually leave glue residue on the rollers inside the print device that has to be eventually cleaned away.

I suspect the fuser has to operate at a higher temeperature or the media has to pass more slowly through the fuser to allow the heat to penetrate the page and properly attach the toner.

Maybe an inkjet printer is the way to go here and not use heat at all.

Was one of those settings that you adjusted "Media Type"? That's the one you're looking for.

Other factors that can affect fusing is generic toner, and labels designed for inkjet devices. I would think though, that if you adjusted the media type to the heaviest paper type it should work fine regardless. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
