feeding from bypass tray and set the tray up a few different ways to no change.

You must tell the printer you're printing on envelopes/thick paper by setting the correct media type in the driver.

        hp 4200 fuser-hp4300 fuser interchangeable?

4300 and 4200 are not interchangeable. The connector has 4 pin on the 4300 and the 4200 has 3. Not electronically compatible.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".

You can set the "fuser mode" on thee models to raise the overall temperature for certain types of paper..
However do to the amount of give the film has in the fuser you may find that certain types of paper still have a certain amount of rub off.

Lawyers love to use fancy textured bond paper, which is prone to being problematic
