T730 new RIDS tubes require new printhead replacement kit?

    Hello,
It's been years since I've worked on plotters.
I've got a T730 and new RIDS tubes I was going to install. When I opened the box. Found sheet said ITS MANDATORY to replace the printheads as well. Is this correct? What occurs if I don't replace the printheads? As I'm sure you all know the price of both these items is about half the cost of another T730.

    Any advise?
    Thanks in advance.

If you've got leaking or damaged tubes, most likely the printhead is dead already. At a minimum I would have a new one at-hand when doing the tubes. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      No leaking.
Just trying to understand if I drive 1.5 hours to replace the RIDS, (which I have in hand) am I going to get an error or stoppage for not replacing the printheads.

Or, is HP just saying it's "Mandatory" to ensure best repair/maintenance methods?
I understand that the unit may have one faulty printhead but to state that I must replace all four is odd to me. That was not mandatory for the old 500, 4000 or Z series.

      Thanks

There is only (1) printhead, includes all four colors. The process of priming the tubes will consume most of a set of inks, which comes included with the printhead. =^..^=
