    trying to get certified

    hello i work for company just starting to sell design jet plotters but we need someone trained i have look online and on hp web site can not find anything
    does anyone know how i can get certified on these products

    Your company has to be an HP ASP in order to get HP training and certification. HP's providers are leaving in droves with their new rules and buying minimums.

    Buy some manuals instead

      Paul gave good advice. You can take training to get certs but if you are not a dealer, it does not matter to hp. I have serviced plotters for 10 years and make a killing because I can undercut HP's outrageous prices to fix plotters. If you still want training, try Parts Now. They are authorized by HP to train.

        But even if you take the training from Parts Now, if you don't work for an ASP it isn't going to matter. But you will have the training.
        Buy some manuals, learn on your own or just to get a head start on the training.

          HP expects new dealers to get involved in a big way. We sell some HP, but only 1/10th the volume they were asking for.
          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

            That means buying parts at their exorbitant prices, I think it's something like $50K a year or so I've been told. Dealing with their dumbass rules and getting minimum prices for repairs, also dealing with their parts department with tons of backorders and not in stock parts, the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing etc etc.

              Please do not get me started!
              What you stated above is not haft of the problem.
              I live in a small city is south eastern Washington state.
              All of the computer repair companies here are small family owned companies.
              Plus one remote office for a Portland based company.
              This company is the only ASP still here.
              HP's policys have run the rest away.

              I could right a book on the rest of the problems I have encountered in the last 4 years but why bother HP will not listen.

              Paul thank you for your help on this and other forums.
              Because you are a sponser I do not give site for free manuals.
