Got an HP M4345, when end user runs a large job through the adf to scan to network or email (job is duplexed). After a while the machine will say there is a jam in the ADF. When we look there is no jam. No leftover corners, stuck flags, etc. Paper has fully cleared the ADF but after you open and close the adf top the error will not go away. At this point the machine has to be powered off and powered back on. Problem with this is that the job they were doing is now lost and has to start all over. If you than print an event log it shows an error of 30.01.25 device error.
Whats been done. I have checked and replaced the rollers, cleaned all of the feed rollers, checked for obstructions, checked sensor flags for sticking. Came across nothing. Upgraded the firmware to most recent and still having this problem.
Per manual says upgrade firmware or replace the unit. I saw for another machine people where saying it was the HDD going out. Was thinking of doing a disk int next before replacing the unit. Any other suggestions???? Client is doing alot of scanning this time of year and having to start a job over and over is not good.
