    HP 9050N problems

Hello guys, ive been down to a site today and replaced a paper pickup assembly on the 9050N, but it is still jamming in various places. Also its not alligned properly, as its missing the top of the page, like its trying to print before the paper actually gets there, and theres about just under 1inch of space on the bottom of the page!! Im rather stuck, so would appreciate the help, if anyone can

    Thnaks in advance

When you print a config sheet does the printer show the tray as being configured for a4? and not maybe..Letter?

yes, its configured for A4 m8. Someone told me it might have something to do with the clutch, as he reckons its trying to print to the paper before paper even gets there?
            thx for ur reply m8

Maybe I was a bit confused by what you meant by the top of the page... If you mean the leading edge of the paper, which in most circumstances would be the left edge of a portrait layout...but now that I think about it, really could be either...working on assumptions here.

If the page is shifted to the right or the left of a letter as you would normally read it, then I would be looking at the registration clutch on most printers, although I have be honest when I say I've never seen that be a problem on 9050.

Could be the following: Defective Paper tray > PIU torque limiters > Defective registration asm
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".

its defo not the paper tray, as tried a few diff ones, so it must be Registration asm, as ive replaced the paper pickup asembly twice allready!
