I used a non hp ink cartridge and now the printer won't work. Do you have to use HP products?

I would like to network my printer so that I can count who prints a certain number of sheets. Is there software or a function on HP printers to do such a thing?

It generally helps to use HP products in a HP machine..... There are hundreds of different brands of generic inks out there, but none should cause your machine not to work, unless the cartridge itself is faulty, or there could be something else wrong. The model number would help.........

As for monitoring prints...... use Papercut. PaperCut - Print Logger - a free print job logger for Windows. I've seen a few people use it, and it seems OK.
