    CLJ 4600 with blank prints

    Hey guys,

Anyone have any experience with blank prints on a CLJ 4600? The manual points to the high voltage PCA, but I was wondering what some of you guys with real world HP experience have run into. Most of my field experience was with KyoceraMita, so I'm at a bit of a disadvantage here. I'd appreciate any help you guys can give.

    Thanks...

Oh yeah, and at one point there was a 49.4C27 code, but it cleared. Don't know if it may be related, but figured I"d better throw that in there, too.

I got it guys... Turned out to be a misaligned print cartridge shutter mechanism or something. The shutters weren't opening so I took all the cartridges out, tested the mechanism (seemed to be working just fine), put the cartridges back in one at a time while testing the mechanism and now it works. I love it when it's something easy...

I've never seen that on a 4600. Plenty of others... but not the 4600. It's good to know.

The 49.xxx codes are firmware codes, but are frequently caused by corrupt print jobs. In the past I have identified corrupt PDF documents, or corrupt drivers. If you are unusually lucky (and sometimes I am) the customer can remember the actual corrupt document or application.

      Thanks for sharing. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yeah, I'm not sure what actually caused the shutter mechanism to not work in the first place. I know this machine was recently moved here from LA. I guess it's possible that one of the print cartridges wasn't pushed in all the way or was in slightly crooked or something. I'm just stoked that I didn't have to spend any money.
