    HP OJ Pro L7680fax problem

Machine prints and copies fine, but when fax comes in it prints only portion of the fax on the top of the page and gos back to ready. No errors are shown and fax log shows fax completed. Fax test function shows no problems. Any ideas?

From what you've said, I'd guess that you've got a line conditions problem. The little inkjet faxes often do not show errors, even when they should.

The other way you can tell is to print off the activity report, then do a little math. Take the transmission or reception time and divide by the number of pages. For G4 fax communication you should be transmitting and receiving at ~10 to 20 seconds per page on good quality lines. Anything over 30 seconds per page indicates some sort of line conditions problem.

If my guess is correct you'll see transmissions and/or receptions exceeding 60 seconds per page consistently. Then it's time to call the telephone provider. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thnks blackcat, I moved the machine to a different line, no change, looks like the fax memory on main board may be the problem...?
