Can you actually print to it? How about copy?

ADF power supply (not the printer power supply). There is a weakness in these units for the power supply in the ADF to go bad. The display panel plugs into it.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".

I have this one in service. When I remove memory and turn on, it has blank display, but initializes. Could bad memory cause this problem?

the scanner power supply is the cause, change it and it's fixed....and thats all she wrote!

I don't have ADF on this model, it's only printer, and has same problem with blank display.

loose connection or maybe a cold solder joint
