49.xxx codes are listed as firmware errors in the manual, but most often are caused by corrupt data arriving at the printer. Sometimes it's a specific document. Sometimes its a driver issue. Sometimes it's a network issue. I've seen all three at one time or another. The only thing I haven't seen is an actual firmware problem. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
Blackcat is right. Haven't seen too much of an issue with 2300's. Check what he says first. If it isn't that it will be:
Firmware (may be actual Firmware DIMM that's bad)
Formatter
or both firmware and formatter
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".
If you need second hand parts or a whole printer of this model, I have a ton of them I'm looking to liquidate. I don't have any toners though so they wouldn't be included. HAHA!
I might even have a few junkers, if so you can just have the part. I'll have to check on Monday though.
