[CQ] HP 4 with gray background and streaks - not the toner/drum cart or transfer roller

I can see on the drum after I take it out that the toner is left on it, as if it is not scraping it all off. It is a genuine HP 98 toner.

If I put this toner in another machine it is fine however, prints look great. I put a known working transfer roller in also but it did not help either.

Is this a voltage problem? It also was repeating the image a little but the transfer roller fixed it mostly. Is there anything else I am missing?

    Thanks

Hi, thanks for the questions, I should have said I crashed it before teh page entered teh fusing section, the page already had the light gray background with darker wide streaks on it. Beside the transfer roller and fuser, is ther anything else that could effect print quality besides the toner/drum cartridge? It has 129K on the meter, is a PS version.

High voltage contacts that make contact with the cartridge or the HVPS (bottom of the machine). Might want to consider upgrading the machine.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".
