I have a HP CLJ CP2025 that prints bars horizontally across the page. Most of the time they are black but sometimes they are color. They appear randomly and sometimes not at all. I have tried OEM and compatible cartridges with no change. I have changed the transfer belt and the cartridge tray.

Relatively new machine. We haven't had that much on them yet. Perform 3 calibrate colors to make sure printer is calibrated well. Print diagnostic page from reports menu to see if you can isolate the problem. What colors are you seeing? More of one color than another creating this problem? How far apart are the bars?
1. How is the printer connected to the PC? USB or Network? If it is connected to USB, is the USB speed set to high? (Service menu)
Per service manual: "For the product to actually operate at high speed, it must have high speed enabled and be connected to an EHCI host controller that is also operating at high speed."
2. What program is the document coming from when this problem occurs? What is the OS?
3. Print configuration page and read firmware date. What is it?
4. Make sure Print Quality is set to Enable color.Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".Comment

I have 2 units with the same issue. We have changed the drum units and HVPS still no joy. Currently we have the cartridge tray on order. I can reproduce the issue by shorting the charge contact to ground while printing. If you find a fix please post it!Comment

Re: HP CP2025
Did you end up finding a solution to your problem? I'm having the same problem with a machine I have here.
Thanks.Comment

Re: HP CP2025
Have you tried removing the scanner and giving the lens a clean? we had this on a few machines and it seemed to work. Also run 3-4 calibrations on the printer.
Hope this helpsComment
